Solar calculators for India. We do not install solar and we do not sell it.
Why we made this
Search for rooftop solar in India and nearly every result is a company that wants to sell you a system. Their calculators are advertising. They will not tell you that the subsidy stops at 3 kW, or that most homes do not need a battery, because those facts cost them money.
We sell nothing, so we can say those things. That is the whole reason this site exists.
Who runs it
Solaraytics is run by Your legal name or firm from Ahmedabad, Gujrat, India. Reach us at contact@solaraytics.com or through the contact page.
What we are not
We are not installers, dealers or consultants. We are not connected to PM Surya Ghar, any state government scheme, any DISCOM or any solar company. We take no commissions and no installer pays to be mentioned here.
There are no quote forms on this site. We do not collect your phone number and we do not pass your details to anyone.
How the site makes money
The site is free and shows advertising. No affiliate links, no lead selling, no paid placements.
What we do differently
- Our payback calculator works out all 25 years separately, applying panel ageing and rising tariffs. Most calculators just multiply year one by 25.
- We show the flat answer next to ours so you can see the difference and judge for yourself.
- We tell you when a battery is a waste of money, which is most of the time on a decent grid.
- We explain net metering versus net billing, because that decides your system size more than anything else.
Corrections
Subsidy rules and state tariffs change often. If something here is out of date, please write to us. That is genuinely the most useful message we receive.
